Another round of fuel price increase will take effect Tuesday following changes in the world crude prices.

Local oil firms, Petron Corporation, Pilipinas Shell and PTT Philippines announced that it will increase prices of gasoline by P0.90 per liter effective 6 am of March 12.

However, no change is the prices of diesel this time.

Other oil companies are expected to announce similar price adjustments on their gasoline products within the day.

An increase in the price of gasoline is expected to affect mainly private motorists. Diesel, on the other hand, is widely considered to be more politically sensitive as it fuels public transportation.
