DAVAO CITY – Governor Jim Salliman renewed his call for unity among all Basileños on May 25 in his message during the 17th Founding Anniversary of the municipality of Hadji Mohtamad Adjul.

This is in order “to solidify the momentum of progress and development in the province.”

“Basilan Province today is by far more progressive and developed than it was years ago in terms of improved security and empowerment of Basileños, for which Basileños themselves can be proud of to the world,” Salliman said.

Salliman praised Hadji Mohtamad Adjul Mayor Talib Pawaki “for his leadership and initiative in the implementation of projects and programs of the municipality, and for his unwavering support to the advocacies and initiatives of the provincial government.”

Among those present in the anniversary program were Southern Philippines Development Authority (SPDA) Administrador Gerry Sallapudin, Vice Governor Yusop Alano, Board Member Jackson Asarul, and Mayors Julz Hataman and Moner Sabbihi Manisan of the municipalities of Sumisip and Tabuan Lasa, respectively.
