DAVAO CITY –— The successive heavy downpour in many areas of Mindanao has rendered major bridge impassable as most of the foundation scoured due to the rampaging water brought about by the Low Pressure Area (LPA).

Although the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration(PAGASA) earlier notified that dry season is here, the present condition defies the forecast.

On Wednesday morning, the  bridge connection the towns of New Bataan and Mawab in Davao de Oro collapsed.

Hours after, the bridge connecting Davao del Norte and Bukidnon provinces was rendered impassable after the foundation scoured due to rampaging waters.

Travelers and motorist were advised to use alternate routes.
