CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (September 18) – On Wednesday, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region 10 (Northern Mindanao) announced the forthcoming launch of the Misamis Occidental province’s Innovation Hub (iHub).

According to a statement from DOST-10, the iHub’s opening is one of the highlights of the Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTW), which will take place from October 1–3 at Bayfront Arena in Oroquieta City.

“The facility is envisioned as a collaborative space for innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs to co-create solutions that respond to local challenges,” according to a statement.

The iHub in Misamis Occidental will be the region’s second, following the Aug. 4 opening of a comparable facility in this city alongside the Advanced Manufacturing Center.

In accordance with Presidential Proclamation No. 780, which was signed in 2019, the RSTW is the regional counterpart of the annual National Science and Technology Week celebration.
