Kaso sa Malaria misaka og 90% sa tuig 2023-DOH

DAKBAYAN SA DAVAO-— Misaka ang kaso sa malaria sa Pilipinas sa 90% niadtong 2023, kini sumala sa Department of Health (DOH) niadtong Biernes  Abril 12.

Sa pinakaulahing datos nga gipagawas sa DOH Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM)  makita nga mitala og 6,248 ka kaso sa malaria  sa tinouk nasud niadtong tuig 2023 kumpara niadtong tuig   0222nga mitala lang og  3,245.

Daghang kaso sa pagkamatay nga gisuspetsahang tungod sa malaria ang giimbitigahan.

Sa 82 ka probinsya, ang Palawan nagpabilin nga bugtong probinsya nga adunay nagpabiling aktibo nga kaso.

Sa taho sa DOH, adunay 6,188 ka kaso sa malaria ang natala sa miaging tuig.

“Itong probinsya na lamang ang siyang inaantabayanan natin dahil dito po nanggagaling ang halos lahat ng ating malaria cases,” RITM Technical Supervisor Jhobert Bernal said.

Gitutokan sa DOH ang nahisgutang probinsya tungod sa taas nga kaso sa malaria.

Samtang, ang DOH nag-ingon nga ang pagbag-o sa klima ug ang pagpagaan sa mga pagdili kasunod sa pandemya usa sa mga posible nga hinungdan sa pagdaghan sa mga kaso.

Gikonsidera sa World Health Organization ang malaria ingong usa ka “sakit nga naghulga sa kinabuhi” nga mikaylap ngadto sa mga tawo pinaagi sa pipila ka matang sa mga lamok. Kasagaran kini makit-an sa tropikal nga mga nasud ug kasagaran mapugngan ug matambalan.
