Kids vaccine rollout kicks off in Cotabato province

DAVAO CITY — The provincial government of Cotabato kicked off today its kids vaccination program in response fo the Department of Health’s program dubbed as “Chikiting Ligtas Healthy Pilipinas”.

Parents brought their babies to the different barangay health centers to get a jab against polio, rubella and measles.

The government is making sure that kids and toddlers will be protected against diseases through the vaccine.

At the village of Balindog, Kidapawan City alone, some 150 kids were given the dose.

The jab was given to babies with ages ranging from 0 to 59 months old.

The vaccination program is spearheaded by the Department of Health and the City Health Office of Kidapawan, the program will be implemented withiin a month.
