DAVAO CITY (July 17) —  The city government of Koronadal is set to open the new  PHP150-million integrated transport terminal complex on August 8.

Koronadal City Mayor Peter Miguel has earlier described the project  as the biggest and state of the art terminal in Mindanao.

Though there are reports that the purchase of the land was  overpriced.

Marloun Gumbao, Koronadal City treasurer,  on Monday said the city government has  scheduled the soft opening of the termial.

The construction of the main terminal building is already completed and finishing touches are expected to be over before the opening.

Gumbao said  the business group need not worry as the city government will impose taxes and fees based on the existing local tax code.

A pending city ordinance at the  City Council, however, describes charges and fees for the occupants of the new building.

Should the new terminal operates, all private terminals will be closed as they will be required to transfer to the new building.-ezc/NewsLine.ph
