Lawyer who sued Duterte at ICC eyes Senate seat

DAVAO CITY (November 16) —  Lawyer Jude Sabio,  who filed criminal case against  President Rodrigo Duterte before the International Criminal Court (ICC) is running for the Senate in the 2019 midterm elections.

But Sabio’s  filed his  certificate of candidacy  through Rogelio Doydora, liaison officer of Sabio’s his  law firm.

Sabio claimed he  could not personally file his COC for security reasons.

In May 2017,  Sabio filed criminal against Duterte.

Sabio is running as independent candidate.

Sabio is the counsel of self-confessed hit man and Davao Death Squad member, Edgar Matobato.-jap/NewsLine
