‘Ma’am Chief: Shakedown in Seoul’ starring Mindanaoan comedian Melai Cantiveros premiers November 15

MANILA – Ma’am Chief: Shakedown in Seoul is set to premier on November 15. This forthcoming action-comedy film, produced by PULP studios, is a significant partnership between the Philippines and South Korea and seeks to bring a fresh perspective to Philippine cinema.

Leading the ensemble cast is Melai Cantiveros-Francisco, a prominent comedienne and TV host, original from General Santos City.

She is joined by Alora Sasam, Bernadette Allyson Estrada, Dustine Mayores, Enzo Almario, Jennica Garcia, Karylle Tatlonghari, Manel Sevidal, Pepe Herrera, and Sela Guia. Notably, the film will feature special appearances by renowned K-Drama and K-Pop stars, among them Do Ji Han, Lee Seunggi, Rolling Quartz, and Yuju.

Happee Sy-Go, Chief Operating Officer at PULP Studios and the visionary behind this original project, has skillfully merged humor with suspense to create a film with the potential to stand out in Philippine cinema.

The film’s storyline revolves around a courageous policewoman undertaking a covert mission in South Korea. She adopts the role of a tour guide in her pursuit of a dangerous fugitive. Along the way, she encounters a diverse range of characters, each contributing to the film’s adventure and humor.
