Magnitude 5.5 quake hits Sarangani, Davao Occidental

DAVAO CITY — A magnitude 5.5 earthquake jolted southeast of Balut Island, the municipality of Sarangani in Davao Occidental  at 1:59 Tuesday morning.

The PHIVOLCS reported that the quake of tectonic origin  had  depth of 15 kilometers.

No damage  has been reported so far but aftershocks are expected.
