Maguindanao mayor facing double murder case now with CIDG-BARMM

DAVAO CITY — The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) from the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (CIDCG-BARMM) took the town mayor of Pandag in Maguindanao province from Davao Doctors Hospital here and brought him to their province on Monday September 12..

Police Lieutenant Juvit Culaway, the OIC regional director of CIDG-XI said their BARMM counterpart fetched Pandag Mayor Khaddafe Mangudadatu from the hospital after the doctors cleared him after he complained difficulty in breathing when he was arrested last Saturday inside a local hotel.

Mangudadatu stayed at the hospital for three days.

“He was fetched from the hospital and brought to Cotabato City,” Culaway added.

Mangudadatu is facing two counts of murder over the death of couple Abdulah Kanapia Ligawan and Lala S. Ligawan on October 7, 2010, at Purok 6, Brgy. Sinakulay, President Quirino, Sultan Kudarat.

The arrested was in accordance with the warrant of arrest issued by Judge Samina Sampaco Macabando-Usman, the presiding judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 20 of Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat on September 9, 2022.
