DAVAO CITY—Consul General of Malaysia, Mr. Deddy Faisal Ahmad Salleh, envisions a much stronger economic and tourism relationship with the Philippines, highlighting the flourishing conditions in Mindanao due to its stable peace and order.

During the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program Alumni Fellowship and Media Linkage Reception held at Discovery Samal, Consul Faisal emphasized the renewed collaboration between the two nations. “We have seen a very strong relationship with the Philippines over the past decades, and this cooperation has led to significant economic and tourism opportunities,” he stated.

He further underscored the importance of tourism and economic ties, noting how these sectors have fostered mutual growth and cultural exchange. The event served as a vital platform for strengthening partnerships among alumni and media professionals, encouraging dialogue on enhancing travel connections and trade.

With the promise of fruitful discussions and valuable networking opportunities, the gathering aimed to deepen ties between Malaysia and its partners in the Philippines.
