Malungon, Sarangani celebrates World Environment Day

Malungon town in Sarangani province celebrated World Environment Day last June 6.

This year’s environmental awareness campaign’s theme was “No to waste: Advancing circular economy to beat plastic pollution.” It was held in Barangay Datal Batong.

The local government through the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office of PNP Malungon, Dole Philippines and Mahintana Foundation Inc. joined forces for the project.

The Datal Batong Barangay Council, Barangay Extension Workers, Kamlung Banwe Lon Bagani, and grade 12 students from Datal Batong Integrated School and Nicomedes Elementary School participated in the tree planting event.
