Marawi LGU-DepEd tap radio Dansalan for alternative learning

DAVAO CITY — The city government of Marawi has entered into a memorandum of agreement between the Department to Education to use ‘Radyo Dansalan’ as an alternative mode of learning during the coronavirus-19 pandemic.

Marawi mayor Majul Gandamra signed in behalf of the city government and the Dansalan radio while DepEd Marawi City Schools Division was represented by Superintendent Pharida L. Sansaron,

During the ceremony, Gandamra said it is important that the learners will continue to go to school despite the Covid-19 pandemic “We need to use an alternative mode of learning for our students to continue their classes, the use of Dandalan Radio is a great help to everyone- the learners-the parents and the Dep-Ed”.

Gandamra also turned over the city donations to the DepEd which include laptops, printers, and other school materials which are crucial in the education of the students.

Also turned over were thermal scanners, face masks, alcohol, and other health kits that would ensure the learners are protected against the killer virus.

The radio station will serve as a major tool for the continuous learning of the hundreds of students in Marawi City. Newsline
