Mga kabus nga senior citizen makadawat na og p1,000 nga pension kada bulan

DAKBAYAN SA DAVAO — Ang mga kabus nga senior citizens gikatakdang makadawat og P1,000 matag buwan nga social pension gikan sa Department of Social Welfare and Development sugod sa Pebrero 2024.

Nakalatid sa Republic Act No. 11916, nga nahimong balaod niadtong Hulyo 2022, nga naghatag ug 100 porsiyento nga usbaw sa binuwan nga pensyon sa mga kabos nga senior citizen gikan sa P500 ngadto sa P1,000 aron mas makatabang sa mga kabos nga tigulang nga makunhuran ang epekto sa taas nga inflation.

Sa usa ka sulat pahayag, gisaysay ni Assistant Secretary for Strategic Communications Romel Lopez, nga ang pundo para sa pagpatuman sa Republic Act 11916 o Act Increasing the Social Pension of Indigent Senior Citizens nalakip na sa 2024 budget sa ahensya.

“Ang pondo nga nagpataas sa binuwan nga stipend alang sa mga social pensioners naaprobahan na ug nalakip sa 2024 nga badyet sa ahensya,” saysay ni Lopez.

Ang binuwan nga social pension alang sa mga tigulang gihatag sa mga kwalipikadong benepisyaryo sa semestral nga basehan nga adunay kinatibuk-ang kantidad nga P6,000 matag payout aron madugangan ang ilang inadlaw nga panginabuhi ug uban pang mga medikal nga panginahanglanon.

“Ang social pension gihatag sa mga kwalipikado ug kwalipikado nga mga kabus nga senior citizens aron madugangan ang ilang inadlaw nga panginabuhi ug matubag ang ilang medikal nga panginahanglanon,” ang tigpamaba sa DSWD miingon.

Ang social pension program naglangkob sa mga kabus nga senior citizens nga huyang, masakiton, o adunay diperensya, o kadtong walay permanenteng tinubdan sa kita, ug regular nga suporta gikan sa ilang pamilya o kabanay.

Ang mga senior citizen makonsiderar nga kwalipikado sa maong programa kung wala silay nadawat nga pension gikan sa Social Security System (SSS), Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO), Armed Forces and Police Mutual Benefit Association, Inc. AFPMBAI), o bisan unsang ubang pribadong kompanya sa seguro.

Mokabat sa 4,085,066 ka kabus nga senior citizens ang nasakop sa social pension program para sa Tuig 2024 ug kwalipikado sa ilang binuwan nga suhol.
