DAVAO CITY — The Metro Kidapawan Water District in Kidapawan City has a new general manager in the person of Atty. William Angus, replacing retired manager Stella Gonzalez.

The new general manager took his oath during the Labor Day celebration organized by the MKWD Union of Employees at the MKWD Covered Court on Wednesday before Kidapawan City Mayor Paulo Evangelista.

Angos was appointed as the General Manager of MKWD by Resolution no. 068, dated April 22, 2024, by the MKWD Board of Directors. His appointment comes with a term of office of six (6) years, effective from May 1, 2024, to April 30, 2030.

Before his assumption as MKWD general manager, Evangelista appointed Angos as his consultant.

On May 21, 2019, Angus, a lawyer and a certified public accountant resigned from his post as elected mayor of Cortes town in Surigao del Sur.

The Kidapawan Water District has been marred with issues from lacking water supply to the alleged failure to liquidate the expenses by the members of the water board.
