Avanceña, Go inaugurate multi-million projects in Nueva Ecija townPosted on
GEN. MAMERTO NATIVIDAD, Nueva Ecija – President Rodrigo Duterte’s partner, Cielito “Honeylet” Avanceña, and Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Christopher “Bong” Go on Monday assured rural folks that the government will continue to roll out programs and projects to uplift the lives of Filipinos.
Speaking before thousands of residents here, Avanceña said there is no fourth class or first class municipality for President Duterte whose administration centers on the fight against illegal drugs, corruption and crime.
Avanceña and Secretary Go led the inauguration of five government projects in this municipality namely: PHP1.5-million improvement of a municipal multi-purpose hall; PHP0.5-million Samuel E. Gadia Hall; PHP4.24 million three-storey evacuation center; and two gymnasiums worth PHP4.5 million each.
Avanceña said the Chief Executive wants to decentralize the government to make life safer and easier for everyone.
“Mahal ni Presidente ang mga Filipino dahil kung hindi, hindi tatakbong Presidente (The President loves the Filipinos, if not, he would not run for the presidential position),” she said as she recalled that Duterte was reluctant to run for the highest position in the land.
She said the cooperation between the people and the local governments of this town and Nueva Ecija resulted in productive projects such as those they had just inaugurated.
Governor Czarina Umali, who along with Mayor Librado Santos and Mayor Mariano Cristino Joson of Quezon, welcomed the two invited guests and said Novo Ecijanos consider both Go and Avanceña as their provincemates.
“Dito po sa amin sa Nueva Ecija, itinuturing po namin kayong kababayan at katuwang sa aming mga pangarap (Here in Nueva Ecija, we consider you as our provincemates and partners in our dreams),” Umali said. -PNA
