Pacquiao joins Army advisory boardPosted on
FORT BONIFACIO, TAGUIG — Senator Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao took his oath on Wednesday as the newest member of the Philippine Army Multi-Sector Advisory Board (MSAB) in a ceremony led by Commanding General Philippine Army (CGPA), Lt. Gen. Gilbert Gapay, via video conference.
Adding to his long list of undertakings outside the boxing ring, Pacquiao made the commitment to fulfill duties in an advisory capacity to the Army aimed at bringing the organization closer to the Filipino people.
MSAB Chairperson, Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Director-General Charito Plaza witnessed the ceremony along with other board members including Dr. Isa Suntay, Harold Clavite, Zajid ‘Dong’ Mangudadatu, and Robin Padilla.
Earlier this month, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio and actor Robin Padilla were also inducted as new members.
The Philippine Army MSAB forms part of the Army’s initiatives in institutionalizing the pillars of good governance and achieving its strategic vision by 2028 — a world-class Army that is a source of national pride.
