Over 593 young leaders empowered through SK mandatory training in Misamis Oriental

INITAO, MISAMIS ORIENTAL – A total of 593 young leaders from the city received valuable insights during the SK Mandatory Training recently held at Moonbay Resort in Initao, Misamis Oriental.

The training featured prominent speakers, including Jane J. Docallos, City Director of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG); Nathaniel Sullano from the City Planning and Development Office; Jesus Paolo Dablio from the City Budget Office; Marieta Encallado and Dib’n Nanol from DILG-Cagayan de Oro; Lord Saver Centina, Head of Oro Youth Development Office (OYDO); and Zaira Mae Dehing, Youth Development Officer at OYDO.

The training served as a requisite for their roles as newly elected SK officials, offering participants valuable insights into qualities such as patriotism, nationalism, and civic engagement. The goal is to encourage active contributions from the youth in local governance and community development.

The resource speakers shared their expertise, providing the young leaders with the knowledge and skills necessary to make a positive impact on their communities. The event emphasized the importance of fostering a sense of responsibility and active involvement among the youth in shaping the future of local governance.
