COTABATO – The provincial government of Cotabato, led by Governor Emmylou “Lala” J. Taliño-Mendoza, continues its efforts to address the concerns of Cotabateño farmers by providing additional livelihood opportunities.

In line with this initiative, the “Skills Training on Fish Processing with Value-Adding” was conducted on Monday for seventy (70) participants, including members of 4H and Rural Improvement Club (RIC), President Roxas Fisherfolk Integrated Farmers Association, and President Roxas Women’s Association. The event took place at the President Roxas Training Center in Brgy. Labuo, Pres. Roxas town.

The training aims to broaden participants’ knowledge of fish processing technologies, enabling them to create various products that can serve as additional sources of income. This step by the provincial government aligns with Governor Mendoza’s commitment to strengthen the agricultural sector in the province through programs initiated by the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAg) under the leadership of Department Head Remedios M. Hernandez.

Facilitating the training were Municipal Fisheries Coordinator Joy Medrano and ST Municipal Focal Yvette Fordan, representing Governor Mendoza.
