Pagpalit og mga Fighter Jets gi-aprobahan na ni PBBM

DAKBAYAN SA DAVAO, Pilipinas –— Giaprobahan ni Presidente Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang plano nga mopalit ug daghang multi-role fighter jets ang Pilipinas.

Kini ang gibutyag ni Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief Romeo Brawner Jr. niadtong Huebes, Hulyo 4. Apan, wala pay dugang detalye kung unsang klase sa fighter jets ang idugang sa AFP.

“Sigurado, giaprobahan na sa Presidente ang maong tuyo nga mopalit ug multi-role fighter jets. Kung asa, wala pa hong desisyon. As to how many, wala pa hong narating na desisyon dito,” matod ni Brawner  sa usa ka pakighinabi sa media.

“Pero kinahanglan gyud nato kining mga multi role fighters (But we really need these multi-role fighter),” paklaro ni Brawner.

Atol sa iyang ika-77 nga anibersaryo nga selebrasyon niadtong Hulyo 1, ang Philippine Air Force (PAF) nagpakita sa ilang abilidad sa pag-ilog sa kontrol sa teritoryo nga gisakop sa kaaway gamit ang mga kabtangan niini.

Samtang gidayeg ang ilang abilidad, si Brawner miingon nga ang gidaghanon niini nga mga kabtangan dili pa igo.

“Pero kulang pa kini para madepensahan nato ang atong bansa busa kinahanglan nato nga makakuha pa niining mga jet fighter ug multi-role fighter,” matod niya.

“Ang mga multi-role fighter sa tinuud mas dako, mas paspas ug mas makamatay kay sa FA50s nga naa nato karon,” dugang niya.

Una na usab nga giingon ni Brawner nga kinahanglan una nga i-update sa AFP ang mga sistema sa radar ug mga sistema sa pagpaniid ubos sa Horizon 3 nga hugna sa programa sa modernisasyon.

Matod niya aduna pay mga butang ug programa nga wala pa mahuman ubos sa Horizon 1 ug 2. Nagpadayon ang pagpalit, pagbansay, ug paghan-ay sa mga pasilidad, sumala pa niya.

Niadtong Mayo, ang National Security Council (NSC) miapelar sa Senado ug sa Balay sa mga Representante sa pagsuporta sa mga programa nga paspas nga nagsubay sa modernisasyon sa militar sa Pilipinas.
