PBBM gives P24.3 million cash assistance to Misamis Occidental

DAVAO CITY—President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. Bongbong on Thursday, May 16 handed to Misamis Occidental Governor Henry  S.  Oaminal  P24.3 million as cash assistance to the farmers and fisherfolk families in his province hit by the El Niño phenomenon,

The turnover was held at Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) in Iligan City during the visit of the President.

Oaminal said the financial assistance would mean PHP 10,000 each for the selected beneficiaries who qualified in the guidelines set by the Office of the President.

“The assistance will have a huge impact on our farmers and fisherfolks hit by El Niño, it will be beneficial to them and their families, especially recovering what they lost during the drought,” Oaminal emphasized.

The President, according to Oaminal, is very supportive in attaining their vision to attain their vision for the development of the province and the people through “Asenso Misamis Occidental; Misamisnon Magpuyong Malinawon, Malambuon ug Malipayon.”

Marcos visited Northern Mindanao on Thursday and distributed assistance to different sectors of the society.-EZC
