Davao’s ‘humpy bumpy’ road injures 4 PNP SAF officers

DAVAO CITY –— Four police officers were injured when their vehicle hit a humpy-bumpy and slippery road causing their truck to skid at around 4:45 in the morning of Thursday, May 16.

The Davao City Police Office reported that the four members of the Philippine National Police Special Action Force (PMP-SAF) stationed at Baliok Police Precincts were onboard the police truck were traveling from Toril District to the city center when their car passed the uneven slippery road in Bago Aplaya and skidded off.

The police report did not reveal the names of the PNP SAF figures in the accident.

The victims were immediately brought to Southern Philippine Medical Center for treatment but were released later.

Many road accidents in Davao City are caused by poor road conditions.

The city government has been calling the attention of the Department of Public Works and Highways on the issue but budget has always been the challenge.
