PBBM inducts Malanyaon as LPP-VP for local taxation

DAVAO CITY –— Davao Oriental Governor Corazon N. Malanyaon was alected the new Vice President for Local Taxation and Revenues of the League of Provinces of the Philippines.

Malanyaon along with other LPP officials took their ]oath before President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. at the Malacañang on August 11, 2022.

Malanyaon, a Certified Public Accountant and a Lawyer by profession , specializes on corporate tax.

During her acceptance speech, Malanyaon committed to share her expertise to help the President push his vision for the development and achieve the country’s shared goal for progress by advancing its economic and social growth.

In a meeting with the League of Provinces of the Philippines members, Marcos highlighted “the importance of planning as he stressed the need for better coordination mechanisms between the national and local governments, especially in agriculture and food supply.”

Malanyaon shared Marcos vision in her own province as she vowed to push for programs which will help the government’s post-pandemic recovery efforts through agriculture and help the farmers become more productive which will result to the strengthening of the economy back home.

Back in Davao region, Malanyaon is also one of the nominees for the chairmanship of the Regional Development Council XI.
