DAVAO CITY (March 27) —— Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) director Aaron Aquino on Tuesday said they are still verifying the information that 31 celebrities in the showbiz industry are allegedly linked to illegal drugs.

Aquino in a report published by Philippine News Agency said the PDEA is validating information on the alleged drug links of 31 showbiz personalities.

The PDEA chief said many of those on the list are drug users while some are pushers.

The report, according to Aquino showed “merong user ng ecstasy, cocaine, shabu, party drugs. Karamihan party drugs.

Aquino, however, expressed frustration as some of the names in their list are known to portray wholesome roles.

With this, Aquino said they are now revalidating the information and are looking into reports that some politicians too are into drugs.

But, according to Aquino, they are in possession of a list linking from members of the judiciary and media personalities into illegal drugs, but he stressed, every list is undergoing validation.-ezc/NewsLine.ph
