DAVAO CITY –— The Bureau of Quarantine starts to implement the One Health Pass for travelers and returning overseas Filipinos on Wednesday September 1, 2021.

Director Roberto Salvador Jr. of the BOQ  on Monday said, the One Health Pass will ensure the smooth processing of documents among travelers and those returning home as it is aimed at reducing processing time.

The pass, he said, automates all the processes as travelers can register to OneHealthPass via https://www.onehealthpass.com.ph/e-HDC/.

The pass, according to BOQ is user-friendly and applicants need to provide personal information flight details.

Travelers will only be asked to register once and fill up the health declaration from their point of origin through an electronic system.

The same information will be transmitted to concerned government agencies such as the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Department of Tourism, Maritime Industry Authority, Philippine Coast Guard, and Overseas Shipping Service.

The document will be forwarded to the local government units in their point of destination.

Salvador said, based on the result of the two-week trial of the One Hospital Pass, it showed 80 percent registration compliance from the travelers at their point of origin.

But there was one hitch though, erratic internet signal at the airport hampers the smooth process, a reason why the BOQ has requested the Department of Transportation to reconnect the internet connections at the airport.-ezc
