“So, I think this is very important to understand that it is governed by the Data Privacy Act as well as the PhilSys Act and through these, it strictly limits who can access personal data collected and stored within the system. The Data Privacy Act of 2012 and the PhilSys Act have strict controls over the circumstances that data in the PhilSys registry can be accessed and shared,” dugang ni Villorente.

Dunay 12 digit PhilSys number or personal serial number (PSN) ang ihatag sa mga Pilipino nga magpa register sa PhilSys nga magamit alang sa identity authentication ug mao nay gamiton sa tag-iya, sanglit dili na muhatag utro ang PSA.
Walay makita nga 12-digit PhilSys number (PSN) ID card kondili ang PhilID card number lang alang sa seguridad sa nanag-iya niini. Apan kung moexpire na ang card, automatic nga makadawat og bag-ong card ang tag-iya ug bago na sab ang PCN number.
Sa mga transakyon, girekomenda ang paggamit og alias PSN nga para lang sa maong transakyon.
Mamahimo sab nga temporaryong i-lock ug unlock ang paggamit sa identity alang sa online authentication nga protekta sab batok sa mga fraud o pagpangilad.
Misunod sab ang gobyerno sa “hybrid cloud solution” alang sa Phil ID system integrator requirement.
Ang authentication services mamahimong ma-access online ug offline.
“We intend to deliver the best and most secured PhilSys to Filipinos and we believe that there is hybrid cloud solution [that] opens more opportunities to PhilSys to link with other government agencies, the private sector including banks and financial institutions,” sumala ni Villorente.
Gisugdan na sa PSA ang pre-registration phase sa PhilSys nga mitarget ug 5 million ka mga low-income household heads. Nagsugod na sab ang PSA sa pag kolekta og demographic data sa mga low-income Filipinos sa 664 cities ug municipalities sa 32 provinces nga giila isip “low-risk” areas sa coronavirus outbreak sama sa Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Cagayan, Isabela, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon, Rizal, Albay, Camarines Sur, Masbate, Antique, Capiz, Iloilo, Negros Occidental, Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental, Leyte, Compostela Valley, Davao Del Norte, Davao Del Sur, Davao Occidental, ug Tawi-Tawi.
Hingpit nga nahimong balaud ang Republic Act 11055 o ang Philippine Identification System Act niadtong August 2018 human gipirmahan ni President Rodrigo Duterte aron nga dunay usa na lamang ka ID ang mga Pilipino ug mao kini ang national ID.
