Philvolcs records magnitude 6 earthquake in Lanao del Sur

DAVAO CITY (November 4) – The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Philvolcs) has recorded a magnitude 6 earthquake in Lanao del Sur on Sunday afternoon, 3:55 pm at the town of Balindong

According to Phivolcs, the quake struck at around 3:55 p.m. Its epicenter was located a kilometer northwest of the town of Balindong.

Phivolcs earlier reported that the quake’s center was located at 10 kilometers northwest of Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur’s capital.

There were no intensities reported. Neither damage nor aftershock is expected, said Phivolcs.-  Jiann Padillo/ NewsLine
