Police arrests employer for alleged rape of minor househelp

ILIGAN CITY –— Police here arrested on Wednesday afternoon a 53-year-old employer accused of raping his househelp who is a minor.

Major Allan Abalde, chief of Iligan City Police Station identified the suspect as Ray Baldicantos , former member of Iligan City Civil Security Unit (CSU) for violation of the Republic Act 7610 or the Act for the Protection against Child Abuse.

Baldicantos , 53, a resident of Purok 5, Canaway, Barangay Tibanga, was arrested by virtue of the arrest warrant issued by Judge Anisah Aminoding-Umpa of Regional Trial Court Branch 2 in Iligan City.

The minor househelp alleged that Baldicantos raped her eight (8) times from July 22 to August 5, this year.

The suspect is now detained at Iligan City Reformatory Center in Barangay. –Divina M. Suson
