Police Major’s brod, policeman arrested in buy-bust

DAVAO CITY — Operatives of Talomo Police on Tuesday night, October 2, arrested the brother of a police major and an active police office in a buy-bust operation in Barrio Obrero, this city just infront a government university campus.

In a report, the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) identified the suspect as Staff Sergeant Eclito Macaradan Colita and his companion a certain Glen Art Muring aka. Dodong, brother of Major Peter Muring who is assigned at the administrative office of DCPO.

The DCPO report said the suspects ” were confederating with each other on the selling of one (1) pc square shaped transparent plastic heat sealed sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu to a poseur along IƱigo St. Barrio Obrero, just fronting the University of Southeastern Philippines (USEP).”

Talomo Police Chief Major Ronald Lao, who led the operations described to NewsLine.ph “Muring handed the marked ‘shabu’ while Colita received the money, when they were arrested, there was scuffle because they tried to run away.”

Lao said Colita, 35, a resident of Km. 12, Santo Rosario, Sasa, this city, is assigned in Marilog Police, while Muring, has been included in the PNP drug list.

The Drug evidences has an estimated street value of Php. 10,500.00. The evidence tagging and Inventory were conducted in the place of apprehension and was witnessed by the Barangay Captain Whelma Lozada of Brgy. 18-B, DOJ representative Mr. Bimbo Royo and Media representative Mr. Sammy Baug of Radyo Rapido.

Lao said Muring is included in our DI watchlist while Colita is was considered as a High Value Target wherein their apprehensions would greatly reduce the proliferation of illegal drugs in the different areas of this city.-JAP/NewsLIne.ph
