October 30, 2024 by Branded content

DAVAO CITY — Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) has announced that it will conduct switching power interruptions on Friday, November 1, affecting customers in the northern part of Davao City. These interruptions are necessary for the construction of a feeder line for the new Lanang Substation.

To minimize the duration of the outages, loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes between 12:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. Following this, the normalization or return of loads to their regular setup will occur for 30 minutes between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.

Specifically affected areas include Lanang, Lots for Less Pampanga, Waterfront Insular Hotel, Lizada Village, Azuela Cove, R. Castillo, Doña Pilar Village, Old Airport Road, Doña Salud, Legaspi Oil, Interco, PLDT SASA, Mercury Drug Sasa, Star Oil Sasa, Km 10-13 Sasa, DPWH Panacan, Hizon Elementary School, Pampanga Executive Homes, Nova Tierra, Fortune Homes, Insular Village, and Caltex Lanang.

Customers in Brgy. Lapu-Lapu, Brgy. Centro Extension, Davao Fire Fighters, Kuilans R. Castillo, Alumina Industries, Agdao Flyover, and Gotamco will also experience power interruptions during this time. Additionally, areas including R. Castillo Crossing, Grandland, Davao Diamond Hardware, Green Dragon Lumber Supplies, Choice Mart R. Castillo, Ubalde, Go Green Oil, Daikin Aircon Philippines, Alterado Hospital, the back of Porras Elementary, Villamor Street, and Malagamot Panacan will be affected.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions and assures customers that it will make every effort to restore electric service on time or earlier. However, restoration may occasionally extend beyond the scheduled time due to unforeseen circumstances.

The company emphasizes safety and encourages the public to exercise caution when passing by areas where line repairs and maintenance are taking place. Please heed warning signs, especially in zones where personnel are operating heavy equipment.

For any power interruptions outside the scheduled times, customers can contact the 24/7 Customer Contact Service at (082) 229 3572, (084) 655 3572 (Panabo), or 0919 056 3572.
