PRO XI distributes mobile patrol cars, ordnance to local police units

DAVAO CITY — The Police Regional Office XI on Monday distributed 36 brand new units of Patrol Jeep Toyota Hilux Single Cab 4×2 to the different units in the region.

A blessing was held prior to the turn over.

Police Regional Office XI Director BGen. Alden B. Delvo in his message during the turnover ceremony urged every police in the region, “To treat the patrol cars as your own vehicle meaning alagaan nyo, not treat it as it is yours na dalahin sa bahay at hatid sundo na lang kayo, at kinabukasan maghatid sundo kahit sino na lang, These vehicles are for the service of the citizens in responding the calls of duty.”

The vehicles, according to Delvo, “Is a symbol of collective determination to uphold the value of public service, integrity and professionalism in responding to calls of duty not for anything else. It is for the service of the Filipino people, it is for the citizen of the region.”

The newly distributed assets symbolize the integrity and professionalism of the PNP, he added.

“May the patrol vehicle ordnance issued to us today, serve as tools for justice, peace and progress and the serve the end users in attending to and responding to call of duty, official function to call of duty not for anything else.

“The support from the national government government is very timely, as we experienced flooding and other forms of natural calamities during the last three weeks, it will help our mobility,” Delvo emphasized.

Also distributed along with the vehicles include 100 pieces Emtan Cal 5.56 Rifles, 300 pieces Dsar Cal 5.56 Rifles, and 253 pieces Field Investigator Crime Scene Kit from the National Headquarters.

The turnover ceremony was held at the PRO11 Parade Ground.
