DAVAO CITY — The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has launched the Rehistro Bulilit Campaign to accelerate the registration of children aged one to four years old for the National ID system.

The campaign aims to address the low turnout in registrations, which as of July 26, 2024, stood at only 947,960 children—just 12.3% of the projected 7.18 million for the year.

To make the process more engaging for families, the PSA has introduced fun incentives, including snacks and tokens for participants. By October 29, 2024, Region XI alone had registered 1,612 children, contributing to the nationwide total of 51,168 registrations. This marks 14.53% of the 2024 target of 352,152 children.

The PSA is calling on parents and guardians to take advantage of the campaign, emphasizing the benefits of the National ID.

Having a National ID enables children to access essential services such as school enrollment, scholarship applications, student assistance programs, and junior savings accounts at banks.

The campaign remains ongoing, with the PSA urging families to visit their nearest registration centers to ensure that every child is registered and able to enjoy the opportunities and benefits tied to the National ID system.

The Rehistro Bulilit Campaign is part of the PSA’s broader efforts to enhance inclusivity in the National ID registration process and provide Filipino children with a strong foundation for accessing essential services.
