PSC nagplanong mohatag og hinabang pinansiyal sa mga atleta

NAGPLANO ang Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) nga matagaan og hinabang pinansiyal ang mga national athlete ug coach nga apektado sa nagpadayong enhanced community quarantine.

Ang maong plano paga-desisyonan ugma, Abril 24, inig kahuman sa desisyon ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kung hunongon na o lugwayan pa ang kwarentina.

Ang paghatag og pinansiyal nga ayuda sa mga atleta gituki niadtong Martes, Abril 21, atol sa special meeting sa PSC board pinaagi sa video conferencing.

Sa maong online nga panagtagbo, gitahasan ni PSC chairman William Ramirez si executive director ug Finance Bureau chief Atty. Guillermo Iroy nga mobuhat og feasibility study para sa maong amelioration program.

Nahisgutan usab sa maong miting ang kahimtang sa mga national athlete nga nag-training sa sulod ug gawas sa nasud.

Ang PSC nagplano usab sa pagpapauli sa mga atleta nga nagbansay-bansay gawas sa nasud kung malibkas na ang kwarentina.

Ang mga atleta nga kasamtangang naa sa laing nasud naglakip nilang weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz, pole vaulter EJ Obiena, ug gymnast Carlos Yulo.

Si Diaz natanggong sa Malaysia, si Obiena sa Italy, ug si Yulo sa Japan tungod usab sa mga lockdown nga gipatuman sa maong mga nasud.

Si Diaz nag-training sa Malaysia sukad pa niadtong Enero ug nagpaabot nga malibkas ang lockdown sa maong nasud karong katapusan sa bulan.

Naglisud usab og pauli silang Obiena ug Yulo tungod kay ang Italy usa sa mga labihang na-igo nga nasud sa coronavirus disease sa Europa, samtang gidili sa Japan ang pagbiyahe sulod ug gawas sa ilang nasud.

Ang Pilipinas adunay kapin 800 nga mga national athlete nga nagpabiling himsog ug luwas sa virus. (LBG)
