PSG commander gets new post

DAVAO CITY (May 27) –— Presidential Security Guard Commander Brig. Gen. Lope Dagoy has been given new post.

Dagoy is now the brigade commander of  802nd Infantry Brigade of the Philippine Army  at Camp Jorge Downes, Ormoc City, Leyte.

Last Thursday, May 24, Dagoy replaced outgoing commander Brig. Gen, Francisco Mendoza Jr.

The change of command ceremony was presided by Maj. Gen.  Raul Farnacio 8ID PA at Camp Jorge Downes Ormoc City.

Dagoy, a bemedaled soldier,  is a graduate of the Philippine Military Academy “Hinirang” Class of 1987, Dagoy had led the PSG since March last year.

Dagoy ended his term and was given new post.

The Palace has yet to announce the new PSG commander. Talks are rife, Col. Jose Eriel Niembra, who once served under Task Force Davao and the PSG, is the strongest candidate.

Niembra is the deputy group commander of the PSG.-NewsLine.ph
