DAVAO CITY —The relatives of the school teacher in South Cotabato who has been missing since Dec. 2 are calling upon the officials of South Cotabato, particularly of Polomolok town, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) to help locate the said teacher, dead or alive.

Mohatir Malo Adam,  a  teacher at the Poblacion Polomolok National High School in Poblacion, Polomolok, South Cotabato, has been missing since Dec. 2.

Rudy Lumapinet, Adam’s first cousin, told Newsline,  “the teacher reported to the Poblacion Polomolok National High School in the early morning of Dec. 2. Then, at about 2 p.m. that day, he left the school to go home aboard his Kawasaki Bajaj motorcycle.

His wife, Haidana, also a teacher of said school,   was worried when her husband failed to come home until the evening.

Lumapinet said they sought the help of the Polomolok municipal police station but “the police did nothing in locating the victim”.

â€śWe are calling upon the officials of South Cotabato, particularly that of the municipality of Polomolok, and the BARMM to help us in locating Adam,” Lumapinet said.

“We are hoping that Adam is still alive. But even if he is already dead, we need his body to give it a decent burial,” Lumapinet added.

Adam used to be the president of the Muslim Students Association (MUSA) at the Mindanao State University, General Santos City Campus while in college. He graduated from MSU with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.-Taher G. Solaiman
