QUEZON CITY, Philippines (June 22) — After passing the evaluation of the Cinema Evaluators Association of the Philippines (CEAP), the much-anticipated docu-drama Sa Likod ng Tsapa (Behind the Badge) is set for a nationwide theatrical release starting August 13, 2025, distributed by Solar Entertainment.

Produced by POP Moviehouse and written and directed by Editha Z. Caduaya, Sa Likod ng Tsapa is a gripping cinematic exploration of the unseen battles, moral dilemmas, and personal sacrifices carried by the country’s law enforcers. The film focuses on the untold story of Police Colonel Hansel Marantan, offering a raw, human portrait of a figure often defined by headlines and controversy.

“This film goes beyond crime scenes and operations. It exposes the unseen weight of honor, loyalty, and the price paid by those who serve behind the badge,” said Caduaya, the executive producer.

Following a series of successful private previews, Sa Likod ng Tsapa has garnered early praise for its bold storytelling and the compelling performances of a talented ensemble cast, which blends seasoned actors with promising new faces.

Audiences nationwide can experience the film in major cinemas beginning August 13, 2025, promising an eye-opening look into the personal costs and quiet heroism behind the uniform.
