Scheduled power interruptions on February 11 and 17 in Davao City and Davao del Norte

DAVAO CITY – Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct a series of scheduled switching power interruptions on Tuesday, February 11, and Monday, February 17, 2025, affecting customers in various areas of Davao City and Davao del Norte.

First Set of Power Interruptions – February 11 & 17

The first interruptions are necessary to facilitate preventive maintenance at the Panacan Substation.

  • February 11 (Tuesday):
    • Load transfer will take place for 45 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m.
  • February 17 (Monday):
    • Normalization or return of loads to the normal setup will occur for another 45 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m.

Affected Areas:
✅ Entire Panacan area up to Diversion Road, F. Bangoy Airport entrance
✅ Daang Maharlika Highway going to Tibungco Public Market, including:

  • Mudiang areas
  • DBCOM
  • New Davao Oil Mill
  • Holcim Office
  • Unifrutti
  • Ferro Steel
  • Panacan Public Market
  • Camp Panacan
  • San Miguel Panacan
  • Malagamot areas and nearby locations

✅ Pampanga Area (including):

  • Mercury Drug Sasa
  • Star Oil Sasa
  • Km. 10 to 13 Sasa
  • Corner of DPWH

✅ Tibungco Areas (including):

  • Bottle King to Tibungco Public Market
  • La Filipina Uy Gongco Corporation
  • Ilang areas and nearby locations

✅ Panabo City and Nearby Areas:

  • Buhisan Elementary School
  • Krudohan Budbod
  • Regan Industrial Sales Inc.
  • Lumad Kapehan and Seafood Grill
  • BMC Corporation
  • San Francisco Elementary School
  • McDonald’s Panabo
  • Licanan Task Force Davao
  • Lasang
  • J.P. Laurel Elementary School
  • Panabo City Hall
  • Gredu Poblacion

Second Set of Power Interruptions – February 11

The second set of interruptions is required due to the temporary shutdown of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) Toril 69kV line in preparation for line works at the NGCP Davao Substation.

  • February 11 (Tuesday):
    • Load transfer will occur for 45 minutes anytime between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m.
    • Normalization or return of loads to the normal setup will be another 45 minutes anytime between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.

Affected Areas:
✅ Entire Toril area, including:

  • Carabao Statue
  • Eden Bayabas
  • Lubogan
  • Tagakpan
  • Manambulan

✅ Dumoy Area, including:

  • Daliao Toril
  • Vales Beach
  • Libby Road
  • Toril Memorial via Bago Aplaya Road
  • Nearby locations
  • Puan Area up to Mercury Ulas

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions and assures the public that every effort will be made to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, in some cases, restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unforeseen circumstances.

As safety remains a top priority, Davao Light urges the public to take extra precautions when passing through areas where line repairs and maintenance are being conducted. Please follow warning signs and be mindful of personnel operating heavy equipment.
