Service disruptions on January 22 and 23 in different parts of Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct switching power interruptions on January 22 and 23, Sunday and Monday, affecting customers in different parts of Davao City.

These service disruptions will be necessary to conduct maintenance works at Ponciano Substation.

The first 30-minute power interruption will be conducted anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on January 22, Sunday. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for 30 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on January 23, Monday.

Specifically affected are customers from Therma South up to Carabao Monument Waypark Toril; including: Sto.Niño Village Marapangi Toril, Sitio Coog Marapangi, San Roque Marapangi, Samantha Homes Lizada, Bangoy Compound, Curvada Lizada, Purok 1 Bajenting Compound, Sirawan-Catigan Road; Cogon, Sitio Diap, and St.Joseph Homes Sirawan; Sitio Salutillo Lomboy Binugao, Nenita Farms, Doña Carmen Denia National High School, Sirawan Elementary/National High School, Forest Lake Memorial Park Binugao, and neighboring areas

Also affected are customers from Therma South up to Baracatan Atan-awe; including Tibuloy Road up to end, Inawayan area, and neighboring areas; as well as a portion of C. Bangoy Sr. Street from Davao Light Office to Manila Bulletin Office, and neighboring areas.

Customers in Rizal Street from Philam Life to Chinabank Claveria, including Iñigo Street and neighboring areas; as well as a portion of San Pedro Street from Unicity to Bombo Radyo, and neighboring areas will also be affected by these service disruptions.

Lastly, customers along Elpidio Quirino Avenue from DepEd Region XI Office to Gov. Generoso Bridge, including a portion of J.Camus Extension, a portion of Pelayo St., Gov. Duterte St., Ilustre St., a portion of A. Pichon St. and neighboring areas will also experience these service disruptions.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
