Service disruptions on January 29 in Davao City and Panabo City

DAVAO CITY — Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct three sets of power interruptions on January 28 and 29, Saturday and Sunday, affecting customers in Davao City and Panabo City.

These service disruptions will be necessary to relocate the 69kV pole near Bunawan Overpass.

The first set of power interruptions will be for 45 minutes, anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on January 29, Sunday. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 45 minutes, between 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on the same date.

Specifically affected are customers in the portion of Licanan, Davao City, and neighboring areas as well as customers from Km. 30 up to Panabo Bus Terminal including: ARC-Men, Quezon Street – from Quirino to Wharf Road; Brgy Cagangohan, Consolidated Plywood Industries, Niceville Subd., Crystal Plains Subdivision; Via Vida Townhomes, Coca-Cola Sales Off., Brgy. Gredu, White Plains Subdivision, Lourdes Subdivision; Little Panay, Maduaw, Katipunan, Upper Licanan, Tagpore, Tagurot, Kiotoy, Buenavista; Mabunao Water Falls, Cacao, Kauswagan, Kasilak, Davao Light – Panabo Office, and neighboring areas.

Also affected are a portion of Tadeco Road, from Panabo Proper to Rachoville Subdivision, and neighboring areas; as well as customers from Panabo Rice Mill up to Carmen including Brgy. Sto Nino, Bongcawel Subdivision, Ybaňez Subdivision, Brgy. San Francisco, Brgy. Gamao, Gamao Subdivision, Brgy. Salvacion, Urban Homeowners Village, Panales Subdivision, Aljons Subdivision, Luzviminda Ricemill, Carmen, Poblacion, Brgy. La Paz, Bingcungan, Mangalcal, Tuganay, Anibongan, Guadalupe road to Datu Abdul, Evergreen Farms; Brgy San Francisco, old City Hall of Panabo, Brgy. New Visayas, Brgy New Pandan, Medalla Village, Northern Plains Subdivision, Lourdes Subdivision, and neighboring areas.

The second set of power interruptions will be for 30 minutes, anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on January 29, Sunday. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes, between 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on the same date.

Specifically affected are customers along Pan-Philippine Highway, from Sumifru Philippines Corp. to Bunawan Overpass.; including Sumifru Philippines Corp., Foodsphere Inc., AJMR Port Complex, and Daniel M. Perez Central Elementary School.

Lastly, an eight-hour power interruption will be conducted from 12:00 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. on January 29, Sunday. This interruption will be experienced by customers in some parts of Km. 23 Bunawan, from Bunawan Overpass to Shell Gasoline Station, including Iglesia Ni Cristo – Bunawan and neighboring areas.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
