DAVAO CITY, Philippines — Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct a switching power interruption on Saturday, June 1, 2024, affecting customers in the Municipality of Carmen, Davao del Norte. These interruptions are necessary to relocate poles along the Tuganay Bridge.

To minimize the duration of the power interruption, loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 15 minutes anytime between 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. The normalization, or return of loads to their normal setup, will occur for another 15 minutes anytime between 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. Specifically affected areas include those from Carmen Municipal Hall to Tuganay, including Purok Ising, Carmen.

Additionally, a 5-hour power interruption will be conducted from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the same day to facilitate the relocation of poles. This will affect customers in the entire areas of Purok 1 and 2 of Brgy. Ising, Brgy. Tuganay (including San Isidro, Guadalupe, and Anibongan), and Brgy. BE Dujali Poblacion.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience these scheduled power interruptions may cause and will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company. Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by areas where line repairs and maintenance are being conducted. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
