Teacher and call center agent arrested in anti-drugs operation

DAVAO CITY, Philippines — A teacher and a call center agent were arrested by members of Bajada Police Station 18 in Purok Water Lily, Barangay Wilfredo Aquino, Davao City, shortly after 9:00 PM last night, May 28, 2024.

The Bajada police identified the suspects as Alyas “Sir John,” a 43-year-old teacher, and a 40-year-old call center agent. The arrests were made following a buy-bust operation in which an undercover agent purchased suspected “shabu” worth 26,384 pesos from the suspects.

The suspects are now in jail and will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The authorities are continuing their investigation to uncover the full extent of the suspects’ involvement in the illegal drug trade and to identify any other potential accomplices.
