Seven Mindanaoans top PMA  Madasigon Class of 2023

DAVAO CITY — Seven Mindanaoans are among the top graduates of the Philippine Military Academy Madasigon Class of 2023.

The list of honor students was announced by PMA Superintendent Lt. Gen. Rowen S. Tolentino in today’s media conference.

Topping the list is Cadet First Class Warren Leonor, 22, class valedictorian and cum laude, who will receive the Presidential Saber Award, Academic Group Award for being No. 1 in all academic courses, management plaque, and social sciences plaque.

The seven Mindanaoans top graduates include:  No. 3 Cadet First Class Nicole Sarmiento, 22, of Butuan City, Agusan del Norte, who will join PA; No. 6, Rojan Macario, 21, of Talon-Talon, Zamboanga City, PA and; 9 Rico Jay Fernandez, 21, of Molave, Zamboanga del Sur, PN.

Seven cadets of  Madasigon Class are graduating cum laude and will also receive awards.

Of the seven Cum laude’s  four are from Mindanao namely:  JL Escauriasa, 23, of Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur; Richter James Escobia, 22, of Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat; Rhyll Romerosa, 23, of Iligan City, Lanao del Norte and ; Henry Cordova, 24, of Pikit, North Cotabato

Another Mindanaoan who will receive award is Cadet First Class John Troy Albano, 22, of Tagum City, Davao del Norte, Chief of Staff Saber award as brigade commander of the Cadet Corps Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Leonor as the topnotch, will also receive the Philippine Air Force Saber for joining the Philippine Air Force,  Australian Defense Best Overall Performance award, Air Force Professional Courses plaque, Gen. Antonio Luna award, Spanish Armed Forces award, National Security Studies plaque, Tactics Group award, SPDU plaque, and JUSMAG Saber award.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. will attend the graduation ceremony on May 21.
