DAVAO CITY — Mokapin sa 1/4 sa mga Filipino nga nagpositibo sa coronavirus disease (Covid-19) sa gawas sa nasud nangaayo na.
Mao kini ang taho sa Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) pinaagi sa ilahang pamahayag nga nakuha sa NewsLine karong Sabado, Abril 11.
Sumala pa sa DFA, adunay 634 ka mga Filipino nga natakdan sa Covid-19 didto sa gawas sa nasud ug 27.1% niini ang nangaayo samtang 12.5% ang nangamatay.
“To date, the DFA reports a total of 634 confirmed Covid-19 cases among our nationals across the Americas, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East/Africa, of which 27.1% have recovered and 12.5% fatalities recorded,” matud pa ni DFA Assistant Secretary Eduardo Meñez sa maong pamahayag.
Ang DFA nag-ingon nga 172 tanan ka mga Filipino ang naayo sa Covid-19, samtang 79 ang namatay.
Sa mga namatay, 44 niini didto sa North ug South America, 30 sa Europe, upat sa Middle East/Africa, ug usa sa Asia Pacific region.
Ang 383 sa 634 ka mga kaso kasamtangang nagpaayo pa sa mga tambalanan.
Sa laing bahin, ang DFA nagpa-abot usab sa ilang kasubo ngadto sa pamilya sa mga nangamatay, ug nanghinaut sa hingpit nga kaayuhan sa mga Filipino nga pasyente nga naa sa mga tambalanan gawas sa nasud.
“The men and women of the DFA share the grief of the families left behind and extend our deepest condolences,” sulti ni Meñez. “With the continuous global efforts against Covid-19, we hope for the eventual recovery of our overseas Filipinos who are
undergoing treatment.”
