Dole andam mopapa-uli sa mga displaced OFW

ANG Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) andam nang mopapa-uli sa mga overseas Filipino worker (OFW) nga nawalaan og trabaho tungod sa coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic.

Matud pa ni Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III kagahapon, Abril 10, nga ilang ipapa-uli, kung mahimo, ang tanang OFW nga naa sa gawas sa nasud.

Ang pagpa-uli sa mga OFW tulobagon sa Dole kay kini labot sa ilang programa ug sa ilang P1.5 billion nga budget.

“Lahat ng ating mga kababayan na nasa abroad kung kinakailangan, iuuwi sila. Repatriation nila, sagot po ‘yan ng programa ng DOLE. ‘Yan po nakasama na sa P1.5 billion budget, kasi maliban sa cash assistance na $200 per OFW displaced because of Covid-19, we also take responsibility of repatriating them,” sulti ni Bello.

Dugang niya nga ang mga OFW nga nagbakasyon ug na-stranded tungod sa enhanced community quarantine makadawat pud sa maong cash assistance.

Nagtoo usab si Bello nga ang mga na-stranded nga OFW dili mawad-an sa ilang trabaho tungod lang sa hinungdan nga wala sila makabalik sa ilang mga trabaho sa gawas sa nasud.

“‘Yung pagbabalik nila halimbawa wala nang Covid-19, sa tingin ko hindi problema ‘yan kasi itong mga OFW natin ito ‘yung preferred at treasured workers abroad. Hinihintay lang sila ng employer nila except of course, the fact na nandito sila, may Covid-19, hindi muna natin pababalikin. Kaya palagay ko hindi masyadong malaking problema ‘yan,” sulti niya.

Gipasalamatan usab ni Bello si President Rodrigo Duterte sa pag-aprubar sa P1.5 billion nga additional budget sa Dole alang sa cash assistance program para sa mga lokal ug overseas nga mga trabahante.

Ingon si Bello nga sa Lunes, Abril 13, i-remit na ang cash assistance ngadto sa mga opisina sa DOLE sa gawas sa nasud kung diin makuha sa mga OFW nga nawalaan og trabaho tungod sa Covid-19 ang pinansiyal nga hinabang sa gobyerno.

Gipahibalo usab ni Bello nga ang Dole nakahatag na og P839 million ngadto sa 167,941 ka mga formal worker pinaagi sa ilang Covid Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP).

Ang mga apektadong trabahante hatagan og P5,000 ubos sa CAMP.

Sa laing bahin, 118,086 ka mga informal worker na ang nakabenepisyo sa P206 million nga hinabang pinansiyal ubos sa Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD)- Barangay ko, Bahay Ko (BKBK) program sa Dole.

Ubos sa maong programa, ang mga beneficiary tagaan usab og 10 ka adlaw’ng temporaryong trabaho sa ilang mga barangay ug pagabayran og sweldo base sa minimum wage sa kada rehiyon.
