Switching power interruptions on April 25, 26 and 28 in different parts of Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct switching power interruptions on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, April 25, 26, and 28, 2024, affecting customers in different parts of Davao City.

The first switching power interruption will be for 1 hour from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, to facilitate the transfer of loads to nearby substations and avoid a longer power interruption. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 1 hour from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Friday, April 26. These service disruptions are necessary to facilitate pole removal along Maa, Diversion Road.

Specifically affected are customers from Crocodile Park Diversion Road going to Buhangin Milan, including Jade Valley, Juliville, Panorama, Mandug, Callawa, Indangan, parts of Buhangin from Milan to Angliongto, a portion of Milan going to Bajada and neighboring areas.

Meanwhile, a 9-hour power interruption will also be conducted for the same purpose from 9:00 p.m. of April 25, Thursday to 6:00 a.m. of April 26, Friday. Customers affected are those from Maa Road, Ulticon Builders going to Davao Christian High School, and Kubota Diversion Road.

Another power interruption will be conducted for 8 hours on Sunday, April 28, from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. affecting customers from crossing junction Toril Carabao Statue, Brgy. Sirawan, Brgy. Catigan, Brgy. Binugao up to Brgy. Inawayan. This is necessary to facilitate the Toril-Binugao 69kV line stringing upgrade.

Lastly, an 8-hour power disruption will be conducted from 1:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 28 to facilitate a pole relocation activity from Bolton Bridge to Shell Gas Station near Acacia Street corner Quimpo Boulevard. Specifically affected are customers from Bolton Bridge, crossing Sandawa, Jollibee Sandawa, Blue Lotus Hotel, Yellow Fin, ET KTV, Shell Gas Station, and Petron near Acacia Street corner Quimpo Boulevard.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
