Tagum City trader arrested for carnapping

DAVAO CITY —A businessman from Tagum City was arrested for allegedly carnapping a vehicle two years ago.

Special operations group chief Police Major Milan Naz identified the businessman as Ernesto Aguimod Anong, a resident of Purok 8-C, Magdum, Tagum City, at Blk 10, Lot 10, Duranta St., RJP Village, Apokon, Tagum City.

Anong was arrested by virtue of the warrant of arrest issued by Judge Niño Batingana of Regional Trial Court Branch 6 in Mati City, Davao Oriental on June 21, 2017, for carnapping.

Naz revealed that Anong was arrested about 12:50 in the afternoon of September 22, 2020, at Grand Men Seng Hotel located at Magallanes St., Davao City.

The suspect is now locked inside the SOG detention facility.-Newsline.ph
