Taxicab driver fatally bumped Davao cycling icon

DAVAO CITY (April 11) — A reckless taxicab driver bumped a local cycling icon while he was preparing for an event.

Local cycling patron and former president of Citywide Cycling Association of Davao (CICAD) President Salvador ‘Jun’ Paholio Jr. passed away last Sunday afternoon, April 7, 2019, after he was hit from behind by a local taxi cab while on board his bike that resulted in a fatal head contusion.

Friends and family members of Badong or Jun Paholio are mourning his death, saying he is a big loss to the cycling family in Davao.

His family said Paholio was rushed to a nearby hospital but he later expired.

Paholio was very active in the cycling community and had initiated various programs to support the community sports since the time of then Mayor now President Rodigo Duterte..-ezc/NewsLine.ph
