DAVAO CITY— A motorcycle and SUV collision on the Maa Bypass Road early Tuesday morning left three people injured, police reported.

The accident occurred at approximately 7:20 a.m., when a motorcycle collided with an SUV, causing a chain reaction involving a second motorcycle.

According to the initial police investigation, 21-year-old Jessie Dominguez was driving the motorcycle with 20-year-old passenger John Kharl Tumali.

The motorcycle was reportedly headed towards Carlos P. Garcia Highway when it veered into the opposite lane and collided with an SUV driven by Pablo Rebuta, a resident of Surigao City.

The impact of the collision caused the motorcycle to crash onto the pavement, where it struck another motorcycle driven by 60-year-old Larazo Baldemo. The SUV’s tire also reportedly exploded as a result of the impact, adding to the severity of the scene.

All three individuals involved sustained injuries and were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention. The extent of their injuries remains undisclosed.

Authorities have taken the two motorcycles and the SUV involved in the incident into custody for further investigation.
