OFW in Saudi shot dead after allegedly killing boss, co-workerPosted on
DAVAO CITY (September 27) — Security personnel sub-contracting for Saudi Electric Company shot and killed an Overseas Filipino Worker, after he allegedly stabbed to death his boss and a Pakistani co-worker on Wednesday, September 26, in Farasan Island, Jizan City, Saudi Arabia.
Farasan Island is located 600 kilometers offshore from Jizan City,Saudi Arabia.
Consul General Edgar Badajos in a statement submitted to the Department of of Foreign Affairs said, that based on initial reports the OFW allegedly first stabbed the Pakistani co-worker after an argument and then his manager and several other coworkers when they tried to intervene.
Badajos said the firm’s security personnel, a subcontractor of the Saudi Electric Company, immediately responded and shot the OFW.
The consular office, according to Badayos, already dispatched a team to investigate the incident and assist in repatriating the remains of the Filipino whose identify is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.-Editha Z. Caduaya/NewsLine.ph
